  • Learn how the Habitat for Humanity homeownership program works, including qualifications and partnership requirements

  • See available homes for purchase

  • Receive an application to apply

Community Recycling Event

The Habitat ReStore is hosting a community recycling event in our north parking lot. Bring items to recycle and join us for a day of education, waste reduction, and eco-friendly activities at the ReStore! Our recycling friends will be accepting your materials for processing. Read on!

VRC Shred Trucks: accepting 463 boxes to be shredded.

Total Reclaim: accepting batteries and tube lighting. Larger items like TVs and monitors will be accepted but there will be a charge of $10-$20.

Alaska Botanical Garden: will be providing gardening information for new gardeners, accepting gently used/clean garden pots and tools (we cannot accept garden pots that are broken or have not been cleaned prior to the event, and all donated pots and tools will be available for community members to take. Whatever supplies are leftover, will be sold at the ReStore and donated to community garden clubs.

Anchorage re:MADE: will host a booth and hand out event and program flyers.

SEED Lab: will host a DIY activity with items found from the Habitat ReStore

Blue Market: will host a booth and teach you their tips & tricks on how to remove adhesive labels from glass jars.

"Make It" Classroom Grand Opening Event

Join us on Earth Day to celebrate the grand opening of Habitat's "Make It" Classroom, where DIYers and upcyclers will gather in-person or virtually to learn how to tackle those Pinterest projects or simple home repairs.

Habitat for Humanity Anchorage's holiday fundraiser, the Gingerbread Showcase, is gearing up for its 4th year this November! Home chefs, professional bakers, artists, designers, architects and youth bakers will be showing off their talent, skill, and imagination at this magical family event held at the Christmas Arts and Crafts Emporium.

 

This year's theme is "TBT." Come and view these Gingerbread masterpieces and donate to vote for your favorite! All donations support Habitat for Humanity's building program, helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable homeownership.
