Fundraising Campaign 03.10.2026 - 05.30.2026

Our Next Chapter Begins.

Our new fundraising campaign is beginning.
To continue supporting more hardworking families in Anchorage, we must first anchor a home of our own.

Anchoring our home to build more futures

With the support of the Municipality of Anchorage and the Rasmuson Foundation, we have acquired a building in Midtown that will serve as our new home. But this is more than the purchase of a building.

This space will become our permanent hub, housing our offices, ReStore, and a community classroom. It is the foundation that will allow us to strengthen and expand our mission for years to come.

Why do we need our new home now?

Habitat’s mission is not to own buildings.
Our mission is to ensure that families have a safe, affordable place to call home and the support they need to thrive long after they receive their keys.

This new home is the foundation that will allow us to carry that mission forward with strength and stability for years to come.

Through this space, we will:

ReStore

Community Room

Create a community room where volunteers and neighbors can gather and serve together

Our goal is to raise

$30,000

through this campaign.

From installing an elevator to ensure accessibility, to creating a welcoming donation drop-off area and building a community classroom, every improvement strengthens the systems that support families on their path to homeownership.

Our current office area has very limited partitioning.
Because we handle confidential and client-sensitive information, we must create multiple private offices to ensure security and privacy. To accomplish this, we need to install eight doors.

BATHROOM

Our goal is to raise

$2,000

The others are damaged or experiencing sewage issues and require repair.Even the one working restroom is not in a condition suitable for welcoming visitors. We respectfully request your support to repair and replace these facilities.

Please take a look at our current ReStore sales floor.
The lighting is insufficient, and the ceiling is exposed.
Proper lighting is essential to showcase our items .

Your support will repair the space and provide additional lighting throughout the store.

$10,000

Our building currently does not have an elevator. Some of our homeowners have disabilities, and we must ensure equal access for everyone. To address this, we will create an accessible meeting room on the first floor. When not in use, it will also serve as office space for the ReStore.

POINT OF SALE

$2,000

To expand and improve the ReStore sales floor, we plan to remove the wall shown in this photo and create a more open and welcoming space for customers.
Your support will help fund the renovation needed to make this possible.

WINDOWS

Our goal is to raise

$2,000

Our current windows are very old and poorly insulated.
To withstand Alaska’s harsh winters, they must be replaced.
In addition, some areas have no windows and are extremely dark.

To address this, we need to replace and install a total of 20 windows.

PAINT

Our goal is to raise

$8,000

You may wonder if painting is truly urgent.
However, this building previously housed multiple businesses, leaving the interior inconsistent and the walls worn and stained.
To properly prepare the space for the opening of our ReStore,
we ask for your support in repainting the sales floor walls.
