There are two types of tickets, and the prizes for the top three winners differ depending on the ticket price. $10 ticket PRIZES:

• 1st place duck wins $5,000

• 2nd place duck wins $500

• 3rd place duck wins $250

$20 ticket PRIZES:

• GRAND PRIZE duck wins $10,000

• 2nd place duck wins $1,000

• 3rd place duck wins $500

Only 12,000 tickets will be sold! Make sure to get one before we have sold out.

You should have received a receipt for your purchase and ticket numbers are listed in the email. Please do a search in your email for the name Event Groove, this is the platform that processes the online tickets. If you do not find it, there may have been a typo in your email address.

Join us Saturday, September 13th at 1:00 PM at Ship Creek in downtown Anchorage for the 7th Annual Great Alaska Duck Race!

Where to Watch in Person: Park in the railroad parking lot across from the Comfort Inn at Ship Creek (where the ice sculptures are placed in winter). From there, walk down to King’s Landing City Park—just look for the big yellow duck!

We’ll be set up at King’s Landing starting at 12:00 PM on race day. You can watch from the bridge as the ducks are launched, then follow the trail along Ship Creek as they race to the finish line.

The race runs about 10 minutes from start to finish, so don’t miss it!

For each ticket the contestant will be entered into the race, receiving an emailed ticket stub. IF a contestant spends $100 at one time, they receive a muck in the mail! The muck is a mythical animal, part moose and part duck. The muck is a great souvenir for locals and tourists alike.

The race ducks are separate from the souvenirs and are not given to the contestants, the race ducks have corresponding numbers to match the ticket number purchased. On race day 6,000 numbered race ducks will be released from the Ship Creek Overlook. The ducks will race down Ship Creek River to below the Bridge Restaurant, in front of The Bait Shack where the Official Duck Committee will capture all the ducks. The three ducks that that cross the finish line first are the prize winning ducks.

1. All unsold ducks are removed from the list prior to the race.

2. The following winning ticket numbers are all bumped up to fill in where the unsold ticket numbers were previously listed The winners do NOT have to be present to win and will be notified by Race Officials by the ticket stub information provided. Winners DO have to present their winning ticket stub and valid identification to collect prizes. Prizes must be collected by November 30, 2025 by contacting Alaska EXCEL at 907-222-0798, or the Alaska EXCEL Office.

The winners will receive notifications by phone and email. The unofficial results will be posted on The Great Alaska Duck Race Facebook page on race day. This list is deemed unofficial because it has not been vetted to check for unsold ducks. The official list of winning numbers will be published on the Official Great Alaska Duck Race Facebook page no later than September 21st, 2025.

Must be 18 to WIN. Need not be present to win. Prizes must be picked up from the Alaska EXCEL office no later than November 30, 2025. All prizes valued at over $599 will require a W9 form from the winner before the prize will be issued.

No refunds of ticket purchases will be issued.

The muck is a mythical animal. Half moose and half duck. The cute duck with moose antlers makes a great souvenir and bath time so much fun! To get a muck mailed direct to your door purchase $100 worth of tickets (at one time)! For every $100 spent at check out, you will receive 1 muck!
