It all started in 2008 when a small group of women who had a similar passion for humanity wanted to provide families a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home. Brought together by a shared vision, the 100 Women House was born.

This amazing group of women knew they were not alone. They knew that by reaching out to friends and other like-minded women in the community, they could bring 1000 women together who could contribute $1,000 annually to provide the funding necessary to build a home and make a significant change in one family's life, year after year.

Since the inception of the 1000 Women House, this caring group has funded 11 homes and has had an invaluable impact on 58 adults and children, and their neighborhoods in Anchorage.
